Barron Collier High School senior Brandon Cachon finished second in the 400 meter dash at the USATF National Junior Olympics Track and Field Championships. The event ran from July 27-August 2 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. Cachon finished in 47.62 which was .07 seconds behind Ryan Champlin in the 17-18 year old division. Fort Myers 15 year old Seneca Milledge had the second best mark in the 15-16 year old division of the Long Jump. Milledge cleared 22-1.75 which was 8 inches less than Jayhlen Washington. Milledge will be a freshman at Dunbar High School in the fall. Fort Myers 14 year old Deismond Davis placed third in the 200 meter dash in the 13-14 year old division. A bad start hurt Davis as he finished with a time of 22.53, .27 seconds behind the winner. Davis will be a freshman at Dunbar.
