FORT MYERS, Fla – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) responded to the intersection of 5th Avenue and Palm Drive late Sunday night. Neighbors say they heard multiple gunshots and came outside to find a man laying in a ditch with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his head. One neighbor says when EMS arrived, more gunshots rang out from down the road which caused a chaotic scene. That neighbor says at that point, the victim was staggering and trying to walk around.
