FORT MYERS, Fla. – Several companies on Facebook advertise trendy clothing for half the price, and we wanted to know if the clothes were worth it. We purchased four different pieces from four companies: RoseGal, FashionMia, TB Dress and Zaful. When they arrived, we tried on the different outfits and compared them to the advertisement. All but three of the pieces fit but none of them looked quite like the picture. The size medium trousers we purchased from FashionMia were much smaller than a typical misses size medium. Also, all four pieces were lower quality material. A quick search on Facebook and you can find groups that have formed saying these companies are scamming customers and clients sharing their bad experiences. Some pictures show outfits that do not even resemble the advertisement, other customers complain of size issues. An article done by Business Insider said Facebook was working on a process to better review companies who advertise them. WINK News reached out to Facebook, but at the time this story was published we had not heard back. The bottom line with these discounted websites: you get what you pay for.
