Jury selection begins for man accused of driving toward police officer - WINK News

Jury selection will continue into Wednesday in the trial to decide the fate of 19-year-old Derrick Church, a man accused of driving a car at police following a the shooting at Club Blu in 2016.

Church’s defense attorneys are requesting the judge allow them to ask potential jurors whether they are familiar with the Club Blu shooting. Church’s attorney’s want jurors to remember Church is not a suspect in the shooting.

Church is charged with fleeing from officers and resisting arrest after the shooting.
