Florida Highway Patrol says a deadly crash on SR 82 near Columbus Boulevard in Lehigh Acres caused a road block on Monday morning.
According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan driven by Jonathan Peter Otero, 20, was traveling south on Columbus Blvd. and ran through a stop sign.
The car was t-boned by a dump truck traveling west on SR 82 as the sedan went through the intersection.
Otero passed away from his injuries.
SR 82 at Columbus Blvd. was closed down for multiple hours this morning, but has since reopened.
