Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is hiring part-time crossing guards immediately.

The school crossing guard regulates, directs and controls school-aged children at a designated school crossing while they are going to and from school past such intersections, according to the CCSO application page. The crossing guard determines when to stop and hold vehicular traffic for children to safely cross using issued traffic control devices.

The position pays $11 per hour.
