July Fourth drive-in fireworks and laser light show in Lee County

Plans for a drive-in Firework and Laser Light Show in Lee County have been approved. During the June 3 City Council meeting, City Council voted to host a firework show on July 4, 2020.

Fireworks in the City of Bonita Springs require a special event permit. The special event permit for the drive-in firework show was reviewed and approved during the June 17 city council meeting.

The drive-in firework show will be at the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Racing & Poker site located at 10601 Bonita Beach Road, Bonita Springs, 34135. The show will begin at 9 p.m. Gates will open at 8 p.m. Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to stay in their vehicles.

The following safety precautions are currently planned:

  • Attendees will be asked to remain in their vehicles.
  • Attendees will be asked to park with space between vehicles.
  • No tailgating, alcohol, personal fireworks or sparklers will be permitted.

The show will also be stream live to the city website and BTV for those that wish to enjoy the show from their home.
