
Three people were arrested after deputies found them in a motel room filled with drugs and narcotics paraphernalia.
The arrests occurred after deputies found Richard Rendon unloading a vehicle at the Knights Inn, at 300 Knights Drive, in Punta Gorda.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Rendon was on the most-wanted list for violating probation and failing to make an appearance.
Once Rendon spotted the patrol vehicle, he fled into a motel room and locked the door behind him.
He eventually opened the door and cooperated with deputies.
Authorities found 2.5 grams of methamphetamine inside a dollar bill, 1 white pill identified as Hydromorphone, also inside a dollar bill, .1 grams of meth, seven hypodermic needles, 9 Ropinirole Hydrochloride pills, three metal spoons with fentanyl residue on top of each, .1 grams of meth on a red ottoman and a glass smoking pipe inside a toilet.
Rendon is accused of three counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, resisting officer with violence and use of or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies found 42-year-old Stephanie Brown in the room and arrested her on a charge of possession of a harmful new legend drug without prescription and possession or use of drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested was 59-year-old Priscilla Palmer, who is accused of two counts of possession of a controlled substance and introducing contraband into a county detention facility.
