Community Blood Center in Collier County experiences shortage, needs donations

The Community Blood Center in Collier County announced on Sunday that they have low blood supplies and are in need of blood donors.

They say they are especially low on Types A and O blood. Officials for the center also say they’ve seen a decline in the number of people donating recently.

The minimum age to give blood is 16-years-old and donors can safely give blood every 56 days.

To donate blood, you can visit the Community Blood Center at NCH North Naples at 11190 Health Park Blvd. Naples, FL 34110. Their normal business operating hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
