Mental Health Monday: Help during mental health crisesSeminole Casino Immokalee set to accept sports betting today
Cape Coral is growing bigger by the day and many in the city are thriving. But behind the boom and bustle, there’s a large group of people in need just like anywhere else. They’re not in plain sight and they might not be the typical homeless person you see on the street. Many people in need may have a roof over their head, but they’re just one job loss or medical crisis away from having nowhere to live. Pastor Charles Minton is an associate pastor with Cape Vineyard Community Church. He said these kinds of people are who they see most at their church dinners. “We also have a large group of what we would call near-homeless people, who are living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to get by, and especially as we’ve seen rent go way up. and even people who have lost their homes and things like that.” Minton explained. Pastor Minton says everyone is welcome at Cape Vineyard’s Thursday night ‘dinner church’. If you’d like more information or to attend click here.
