Scattered storms return Thursday

After a relatively quiet weather pattern so far this week, scattered rain and thunderstorms return Thursday and Friday as moisture continues to increase out of the south.

This will kick off a period of unsettled weather, with daily chances for rain and storms, set to take us through the Easter weekend.

On Thursday, look for thunderstorms to develop mainly after 2 p.m. Look out for heavy downpours and lightning.

Highs will be back in the upper 80s to low 90s Thursday, where we should also start to feel the humidity creep back up.

Friday will feature additional scattered storms, mainly towards the afternoon, with additional chances for more isolated rain and storms into the weekend.

For Easter Sunday, the morning will likely be quiet for morning festivities and egg hunts before storms return for the afternoon.
