Credit: CBS News The Powerball jackpot has grown to over $1,000,000,000 after nobody won in Saturday’s drawing. So people are racing to get their hands on a new tick and their chance to win some big bucks. There may be a big treat for a lucky Powerball player this Halloween. 7-Eleven cashier, Lisa Pawlenko played Saturday’s lottery and missed it by one number. “It was like a madhouse in here. How many people would you say bought last night? I’m not sure over 100 I believe,” Pawlenko said. She’s planning to buy one herself in hopes to fund some needed hurricane relief. “Because we were having a little bit of damage from the hurricane. I want to get it all fixed up,” Pawlenko said. Billy Wood told WINK News what he would do if he won the jackpot. “Take care of some of the people I know family, friends, whatever they needed,” Wood said. If someone does win Monday’s jackpot that will be the second largest jackpot in Powerball history according to the Florida Lottery.
