Structure fire in Lehigh Acres. CREDIT: LEHIGH ACRES FIRE CONTROL AND RESCUE DISTRICT A structure fire broke out on Bywood Street in Lehigh Acres Friday evening. According to Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District, crews got to the fire on the 5000 block of Bywood St. shortly after 8 p.m. Although the fire was put out, there was considerable smoke damage inside the home. Nobody was hurt or killed inside the house from the fire, and the Red Cross is assisting displaced residents. An investigator is going to where the fire happened.
