The Naples Children and Education Foundation awarded $26,500,000 on Monday to 50 different nonprofits in Collier County.

The funds came from the Naples Winter Wine Festival donations and will benefit at-risk and underprivileged children.

WINK News spoke with Bill Beynon, the Naples Winter Wine Festival chair, about the importance of the event.

“If you think about hunger healthcare after school care and mental health. If you just think about the Hurricane and what it’s impacted from mental health and hunger, these funds will be put to use by our nonprofits to effectively help serve the community and solve those needs,” Beynon said.

Trustee, Bill Beynon, said he had $25,000,000 in his head as a goal, and they even surpassed that.

On Monday, they set a record for donations.
