The swimmer was reported missing in the Caloosahatchee River near North Shore Park Saturday afternoon.
Both the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the scene. By 5:30 p.m., LCSO confirmed the body of the missing swimmer had been recovered. A death investigation is underway.
