LCSO investigating report of assault on Lee Boulevard

Authorities are investigating an assault that allegedly unfolded near Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres early Sunday morning.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s office, an intoxicated victim said he was in a fight around 6:30 a.m. and could not recollect most of the night.

According to an incident report, the victim was identified as a man from North Port.

He was going to a party with his cousin and a friend in Lehigh Acres.

While at the party, the victim said he encountered a man who was talking smack but could not identify him.

After the victim left the party with his cousin, the two went to a food truck, where they were approached by the same man at the party along with three or four other men.

The group jumped the victim and his cousin. The victim told deputies that someone hit him in the head with a Hennessy bottle.

The victim could not remember the location of the food truck or the identities of the men who attacked him.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
