Three men have been arrested after they allegedly committed fraud on an application for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP).

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, deputies working D-SNAP at the Lee Civic Center were notified of a fraudulent application.

Employees of the event told deputies while reviewing paperwork, three individuals had used an address linked to a car dealership on Palm Beach Boulevard.

The employees suspected the three had falsified their information to secure disaster relief funds.

Deputies made contact with Oscar Castellanos Cruz, Elmer Leiva Quintanilla, and Jose Vasquez Lopez.

According to the investigation, all three reside in Arcadia and had used the address to deceive the program in an attempt to receive funds.

The three men were arrested for public aid fraud and have since been taken to the Lee County Jail.
