Cape Coral police arrest man in Fuegoz Lounge shooting

A man was arrested in connection with a shooting outside a Cape Coral lounge that left two women injured, police said Wednesday.

The shooting occurred early Saturday, around 1:55 a.m., in the parking lot of Fuegoz Lounge on Del Prado Boulevard, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

Officers responding to the scene, due to reports of gunshots, saw several vehicles fleeing and found two women suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims received medical aid on-site and were taken to a hospital; both women were treated for minor injuries and later released.

The department’s Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation and identified the suspect as 22-year-old Kunata Barrinton Bolden.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested him on Wednesday in Fort Myers.

According to authorities, Bolden faces two counts of aggravated battery, a second-degree felony, and one count of improper exhibition of a firearm, a first-degree misdemeanor.
