Woman sentenced to 20 years in DUI case

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) – A 31-year-old woman who killed two sisters in a DUI crash has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

On Tuesday, Circuit Judge R. Michael Hutcheson also ordered that Terra Goodier’s prison term will be followed by 10 years of probation during which she cannot drink alcohol or go to bars.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1sfU2Xo ) reports Goodier’s blood alcohol content was 0.106 percent when she drove the wrong way down a highway and crashed into a car carrying Linda Johnson and her sister Christine Enright on Jan. 12, 2012. It was her second DUI arrest. In 2007, she her drunken driving charge was pleaded down to reckless driving and she received six months of probation.

Goodier and her mother apologized to the families of the sisters.
