FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police are searching for a suspect in the murder of a 20-year-old.

Officials say Daniel Hill, a Dunbar High School graduate, was killed Sunday night outside of a home on Jeannie Lane.

No one has been arrested and both police and family members are seeking answers.

Hill’s friends and family say he was gunned down in his car right outside of his aunt’s house. Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 7 p.m.

When police arrived, Hill was dead.

“I love him… I just want him to come back,” said Hill’s friend Hitialia Lopez.

Those close to him say they have no idea who would want to hurt him.

“Daniel, he was funny, he was sweet, he was smart, he always tried to make you laugh and happy,” said Lopez.

WINK News spoke with a witness of the shooting. She says she saw a black SUV pull up in front of the house and that two people opened fire from inside the SUV and drove off.

Police have not been able to confirm those details.

“Somebody knows, somebody has to know. You know this area isn’t really that big, there’s one way in this area, one way out of this area,” said Lopez.

Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for anyone who can provide information that will lead to an arrest in this case.
