Cape Coral Police search for stolen boat

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- If you ask Kim Linz what she’s thankful for, she would tell you her boat. It’s how she and her family relax and make memories together.

“Every boater knows that when you’re out on the water it’s you, the fresh air, the ocean and no stress,” said Linz.

She saved up for 20 years to be able to purchase this 2009 Grady White 330 Express, worth more than $200,000. So when she found out it had been stolen, right off her boat lift, she was shocked.

“I was in disbelief. I thought, ‘it’s gotta be here’. Where is it? I looked down the canal. All my other neighbors’ boats were on their lift intact and mine is virtually gone,” said Linz.

She tells WINK News that the last time she went out on the boat with her family they locked everything up like always but police say that didn’t stop thieves.

“It has so much sentimental value for my friends and my family and Sophia Maria is my grandmother’s name so I’m hoping somewhere up in heaven they can help bring her home,” said Linz.

Linz is offering $20,000 cash reward for anyone that gets her boat back.
