Deputies make prostitution bust at Fort Myers massage parlor

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A woman is under arrest, facing allegations of prostitution at a massage parlor in Southwest Florida. Now businesses in the same plaza are concerned it could hurt their bottom lines.

Deputies arrested 50-year old Liqing Cai for prostitution.  The arrest report says she offered sexual favors to an undercover officer for $20.

The incident happened at New Asian Massage on Boy Scout Drive.

It’s at least the fourth arrest at different massage parlors in Lee and Collier Counties in 2014.

Glenn Morse has a sports nutrition business, right next door to New Asian Massage.

“It’s a bad rap for all the businesses nearby. If it keeps happening, it is not good for us at all,” he says.

“I’d say it’s an embarrassment for my business,” said Robert Oliver of Bella Hair Studio and Salon. “I mean, some of my customers couldn’t even get out of the parking lot when all the sheriff’s cars came here to make the arrest,” Oliver tells WINK News.

WINK News tried to get a comment from New Asian Massage, but a woman inside the massage parlor would not answer our questions about the arrest of Cai.
