Boston Marathon bombing victim walks again

HOUSTON- A victim of the Boston Marathon bombing will start the new year with a prosthetic leg.

27-year-old Rebekah Dimartino was just fitted for a test socket limb.

Back in November, she decided to have her leg amputated after being injured in the 2013 bombing.

Now, she’s training to run the marathon again this April.

Dimartino says she hopes to come back even stronger.

“So much could have happened in Boston, and it didn’t… and for me to be that close to something that could have destroyed me, and, it only allowed me to be stronger.”

Dimartino will receive her personalized prosthetic leg next week.
