FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fort Myers Broadcasting’s Latino 97.7 is joining St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for the fifth consecutive year to celebrate its “Promesa y Esperanza” (promise and hope) radiothon.
The fundraiser will be held Today and Friday March 20th from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. The funds raised during the event will help St. Jude to continue its medical research and development of new treatments to fight childhood cancer.
During the radiothon, listeners interested in pledging their donations and becoming a “Partner in Hope” be donating $20 per month, can do so by calling 1-800-998-8432.
The event allows listeners to hear stories of struggles and survival from Hispanic patients who have been touched by the lifesaving efforts at St. Jude. Thanks to fundraising events like “Promesa y Esperanza,” St. Jude is able to continue finding cures for thousands of sick children regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
