Canadian diamond donut costs $100

Published: Updated:

VANCOUVER, Canada – It very well could be Canada’s most expensive donut. It’s got gold, diamonds, and of course, it’s smothered in decadent chocolate.

One employee says the donut is made of 24k edible gold, edible diamonds, and aged chocolate balsamic vinegar. It’s infused with ice wine from Rollingdale Winery. Employees say there are other delicious treats in the donut but the baker wouldn’t like it if they mentioned them.

The decadent donut was crafted for the grand reopening of a longtime bakery in Kelowna in its new location. Owners say they don’t think anything like the $100 donut has been done before in the province and the country.
