BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- A source close to the investigation tells WINK News the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a murder at a home in Bonita Springs.
The home is located on Jarvis Road near East Terry Street.
Deputies were called to the home around 9:45 a.m. Monday. Crime scene vans were at the house for more than 13 hours. Medical examiners removed a body from the home shortly before 11 p.m.
Investigators haven’t released any further details at this time.
Neighbors say a family of four lives in the home, including a local doctor.
One neighbor tells WINK News a deputy described the scene as “gruesome” and that her mother heard screaming coming from the home around 5 a.m. Monday.
