MGN FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) – Authorities in South Florida say one teenager is dead and five others were taken to a hospital after their boat crashed into a bridge on Fort Lauderdale’s Middle River. The crash happened early Thursday. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman Amanda Phillips told the Sun Sentinel the teens set out in the boat around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. She says they hit the bridge about 90 minutes later. She says the area where the crash occurred was “very dark.” The names of the teens haven’t been released.
