Aerospace manufacturer bringing new jobs to Lee County

FORT MYERS, Fla.- More than 40 new jobs will be created in Lee County by Advanced Components International, an aerospace manufacturer that will soon expand.

“It’s exciting that a company with a truly global footprint, that could have put this operation in many different locations, chose to do it in Lee County,” said Glen Salyer, acting director of economic development in Lee County.

Salyer’s job is to sell Southwest Florida to companies across the globe.

“The financial incentive with advanced components international is a tax refund.”

The county partnered with the state to refund $210,000 worth of taxes as long as the company grows locally through 2020 and creates new jobs, something proving to be important due to Southwest Florida’s quickly growing population.

“It’s very important for us to create lots of new jobs, give them opportunities to thrive and raise their families,” said Salyer.

ACI has been in Lee County for five years and currently employs 36 people.
