ALVA, Fla. – One man has been arrested and two more suspects are on the run after breaking into a home and holding the homeowners at gunpoint.

26-year-old Kinnus Amad Rogers was arrested Tuesday morning shortly after the robberies. He and two others are accused of breaking into a home in the Caloosa Preserve neighborhood just before 6:30 a.m.

Lee County deputies found him in a car that he stole from one of the homes.

The victims of the home invasions were too distraught to comment but told detectives that Rogers woke them up with a gun pressed on their sides. They say Rogers tried to tie them up with a charging cord, but failed. He then placed a cloth over them.

The three suspects are accused of taking various items such as jewelry, five televisions, an multiple iPads. They also took off with two of the couple’s cars, one of which has since been recovered.

Detectives think theses same men also broke into the home next door.

Deputies are still looking for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with the license plate IDJ236. They are also looking for the other suspects in these burglaries who are considered to be dangerous.
