South Fort Myers Family Dollar store robbed

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Lee County authorities are searching for a man who robbed a south Fort Myers Family Dollar on Wednesday night.

Around 8:45 p.m., a man with his face covered entered the store, located on the 8200 block of Aloha Road.

Officials say the man picked out a bottle of mouthwash, before approaching an employee and ordering her to hand over all the money in the register and the entire cash drawer.

Witnesses say the man left the store in a dark colored Toyota, heading westbound on Alico Road, towards U.S. 41.

The suspect is described as being around 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing between 130-160 pounds, He was wearing a blue baseball cap, red long sleeved shirt, jeans and dark colored shoes.
