FILE: A donation check from Fuccillo Kia CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Just in time for the holidays, the Harry Chapin Food Bank received a HUGE donation from Billy Fuccillo, owner of Fuccillo Kia. Fuccillo promised to match every donation that was made by the public to the food bank between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, up to $100,000. On Thursday, the food bank announced Southwest Florida raised more than $559,000 and received a check from Fuccillo Kia for $100,000. “It’s huge,” said Miriam Pereira, “I know you hear that all the time but it’s really important to us because it helps get us through the holidays and then some.” The Harry Chapin Food Bank says the money will help provide food to the 30,000 individuals and families it serves each month from Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties.
