MIROMAR LAKES, Fla. – The annual Southwest Florida Wine & Food Festival returns to the Miromar Lakes Beach and Golf Club as they work to raise money for the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and SWFL Children’s Charities Incorporated.

The festival kicks off Friday, Feb. 26 with a vintner dinner at various private homes, followed by the grand tasting and live auction on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Miromar Beach and Golf Club. Forty live auction lots will be up for bidding by auctioneer Scott Robertson. Including once in a life time experiences, wine vacations, international trips, even a signed guitar by ACDC bassist Cliff Williams, which he’s played with on tour, one of only five.

The festival features more than 20 chefs from across Southwest Florida, pairing a variety of dishes with wine from 10 select vintners. Williams Selym Winery has the title of the 2016 honored signature vintner at the Southwest Florida Wine and Food Festival.

Over the past seven years $12.8 million has been raised and donated, not just to help construct the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida but also to Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Southwestern State College to support the education of the next generation of pediatric health care professionals.
