CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The joy of bacon need not be limited to your tastebuds, organizers of a festival contend.

Bar-hopping, bacon-themed drink and appetizer tastings, and live entertainment will be a part of South Cape Baconfest, an event South Cape Hospitality & Entertainment Associations is staging Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Trolleys will carry participants to a dozen spots in south Cape Coral.

Tickets are $30. Check-in starts at 6 p.m. and takes place at Big John’s Plaza, located 1215 Cape Coral Parkway E., and Club Square, at Southeast 47th Terrace and Southeast 10th Place.

Those who arrive after 7:30 p.m. can still take part if they check in at Dixie Roadhouse, which is at 1023 Southeast 47th Terrace, or Cruiser’s Lounge, at 1517 Southeast 47th Terrace.
