FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Fort Myers man has been convicted of second-degree murder in a 2013 killing at a home in Pine Manor, a court official said. A jury returned a guilty verdict Thursday against Fredrick Edouard, of of 5443 Eighth Ave., who was accused of shooting neighbor Jerry Norvilus in September 2013. Edouard faces up to life in prison at a sentencing hearing set for Dec. 12. Norvilus was found dead in his home on Eighth Avenue by a friend. Police accounts said Edouard was seen walking to Novilus’s home with a gun and fired shots through the bedroom window.
