Man faces judge in Cape Coral murder cold case

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The man accused of raping and murdering two Cape Coral in 1990 stood in chains as he stood before a judge Monday. Joseph Zieler, who was arrested in September after investigators said they found DNA evidence linking him to the crimes, will face a single, consolidated trial for both cases, the judge ruled.
