Flash flood warning in effect for Bonita Springs

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. A flash flood warning is in effect for Bonita Springs until 2 a.m. Sunday.

An area of Bonita Springs near the Imperial River was one of the hardest hit by flooding two weeks ago. Quinn and Dean streets were covered with water for days.

Storm surge from Hurricane Irma could reach 9 feet or higher Sunday and Monday, WINK Chief Meteorologist Jim Farrell said.
