NAPLES, Fla. Two free support groups are available for those struggling with the emotional and psychological impacts of Hurricane Irma.

The David Lawrence Center is facilitating the group sessions, which run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Telford Classroom Building D-2 at 6075 Bathey Lane, and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the upstairs training room at 2806 South Horseshoe Drive.

“Not all of the damage of Hurricane Irma is visible to the naked eye,” David Lawrence Center CEO Scott Burgess said in a statement. “Natural disasters are traumatic, sudden, and overwhelming.

“Oftentimes, they leave survivors feeling helpless, shocked, depressed, anxious and alone. This small gesture is David Lawrence Center’s way of giving back to the community that we are here to help and serve.”
