Ex-Naples High teacher pleads not guilty to sex with minor

NAPLES, Fla. A former Naples High School teacher and assistant football coach has filed a not guilty plea to charges he had sex with a 17-year-old girl.

Brock Elliot Smith, 30, of the 5200 block of Brixton Court in Naples, is accused of sending nude photos to the victim in November 2016 and twice having sex with her in a bathroom stall, according to a Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.

He also is accused of sending another underage girl nude photos.

Smith has remained jailed on a $400,000 bond since his August arrest, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office website.

He will be reassigned to the Martin Luther King Jr. Administrative Center upon his release, Collier County school district spokesman Greg Turchetta said in August.
