SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A student was arrested after a weapon was found at South Fort Myers High School, Principal Ed Mathews said in an email Monday.
The firearm was discovered during an administrative search Wednesday, according to school officials. Law enforcement were called following the search.
“At no time was the weapon displayed, nor were any students in danger,” Mathews said.
It’s unclear what charges the student will face, but Mathews said he or she will be “disciplined per the student code of conduct.”
No further information was immediately available.
