Armed gunmen rob Lehigh Acres Walgreens

Two men are on the run after robbing a Walgreens at gunpoint in Lehigh Acres overnight, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

The suspects walked into the store just before 1:30 a.m. and demanded money from the register and two packs of Newport cigarettes, according to Crime Stoppers.

The clerk gave them the money and cigarettes. The men escaped the store on foot with the cash headed eastbound.

The suspects were wearing black hoodies and masks.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the suspects are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
