The Fort Myers Police Department arrested Desmond Levon Jackson, 29, who faces charges of Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted felon.

FMPD homicide investigators believe the suspect is responsible for the shooting death of Sam Wigfals. Wigfals, 57, was shot at Bassie Court in the morning on Dec. 13, 2018, according to the FMPD press release.
The U.S. Marshals Florida Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended the suspect in Titusville, Florida, after information that he fled the Fort Myers area. Jackson is currently in custody.
