Charlotte County commissioners are scheduled to meet on Tuesday to discuss a plan to add 165 miles of new sidewalks and trails.
The goal of this project is the bring safety and security to bicyclist and pedestrians as that share the road with drivers countywide.
The Charlotte County Metropolitan Planning Organization also says the plan could save money by increasing the agency’s chances to apply for grants.
