A man from Cape Coral was arrested after he fled from police during a traffic stop, after initially handing over his driver’s license.
CCPD say, Vincent Ivan Parlato, 30, was pulled over by police after making a U-turn at high speeds, and squealing his tires doing a burnout in a Ford Mustang.
After being approached by the officer, he was being defiant before ultimately handing over his I.D. card. As the officer was reviewing the information, Parlato sped off at a high speed.
Attempts to locate Parlato were unsuccessful but on February 18, 2019, around 8:20 p.m. officers located Parlato at his home and he was taken into custody without incident.
Parlato was charged with Flee and Eluding Law Enforcement and Resisting Law Enforcement Without Violence.
