A man has been taken into custody after a nearly seven-hour standoff with Fort Myers police Thursday.
The incident happened at The Laurels Apartment Homes on Solomon Boulevard.
Solomon Blvd. was closed between Colonial Boulevard and Winkler Avenue for hours.
According to Fort Myers Police Department, a man came out of his apartment and surrendered.
He has been taken into custody on unknown charges.
