Photo via WINK News This weeks Star Teacher is Maggie Froitzheim, a speech language pathologist at Sea gate Elementary, whose main focus is having great communication with her students. Ms. Maggie, as her kids call her, says she is determined to help students with even the most severe speech impediments. “Improving speech sounds and speech clarity so people can communicate clearly,” said Froitzheim. She says seeing the results in her students is what truly amazes her about her job. “Watching kids that never spoke to speaking in complete sentences and writing a paragraph through the years is a beautiful thing,” said Froitzheim. Ms. Froitzheim says she is living out her passion of helping children with some of the most difficult communication struggles because if you believe, all things are possible. “I’m there to believe that all things are possible. Everybody can communicate there is a way and we can help you to do that no matter how you’re doing it right now we can make progress.” Maggie Froitzheim was nominated as a Star Teacher by our WINK News viewers, and if you would like to nominate a teacher, you can submit his or her name to Sabrina Katz WINK News Facebook page.
