One East Naples pizza joint is making sure health care workers and those on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic have meals to eat at work, and they’re asking you for help.

You can send the gift of pizza to anyone who needs it starting Thursday.

“It’s called ‘Pizza It Forward’,” said Chris Jones, owner of LowBrow Pizza and Beer.

He said they got the idea from helping out other organizations. They thought, why not give the opportunity to give a pizza to everyone?

“Like Isles of Collier got together with the residents there, and they bought a bunch of pizzas every day that they send down to the hospital at NCH. We discounted the pizzas, so it was a little easier on their pockets, and then when the pizzas are ready, we drop them off at the emergency room,” Jones said.

“If we can get the community together to maybe pre-purchase some pizzas, we can give those pizzas to people that need them.”

That could mean anyone, even the unemployed.

“You know, it could be anybody, policemen, law enforcement, the doctors, and also we want to feed the people who do not have work right now.”

All you have to do is purchase a $15 voucher and say who you want to send it to.

“We’re hoping we get busy. We just felt this was a cool way for our customers and our community help us help other people.”

You can call LowBrow Pizza & Beer at (239) 529-6919 or Industry Pizza & Slice Shop at (239) 431-6881 to purchase a voucher for $15 plus tax, which will provide pizza and a salad to the recipient. LowBrow will deliver the meals free of charge.

Displaced workers can call either restaurant to claim a voucher for a pizza and a salad, and pick it up via their curbside takeout option. LowBrow Pizza & Beer is located at 3148 Tamiami Trail E., and Industry Pizza & Slice Shop is located at 2075 Pine Ridge Rd.
