Credit: Naples Police Department. Naples Police Department is encouraging members of the public to remember to lock car doors to help avoid possible vehicle thefts. According to the NPD Facebook post, Naples police have been receiving reports of auto thefts in the city. The police department says thieves have mainly been targeting luxury cars in residential driveways with key fobs inside vehicles. Per the NPD post, “[Police] are asking city residents to please remove your key fobs and lock your vehicles when they are not in use. Don’t be an easy victim.” People are encouraged to report suspicious activity to NPD at 239-213-3000, or dial 911 if it’s an emergency.
