Monday’s Coronavirus Updates: Fla. surpasses 100K positive cases; 6 new deaths recorded in SWFL

As of 11 a.m. Monday, there have been 100,217 positive cases of the coronavirus in the state. The case count includes 98,047 Florida residents and 2,170 non-Florida residents. There are 3,173 deaths reported and 13,119 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Department of Health.

There have been 1,618,540 tests administered in Florida. A total of 100,217 tests have come back positive, and 1,517,270 tests have come back negative. The remainder are still pending, according to the FDOH website.

*Numbers are released by the DOH daily at approximately 11 a.m.

STATEWIDE NUMBERS

Total number of cases: 100,217 (up from 97,291)
Deaths: 3,173 (up from 3,161)

  • 2,920 total new cases reported Monday
  • 12 total new deaths reported Monday

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA NUMBERS

Total cases in SWFL: 8,842 (up from 8,724)
Deaths: 321 (up from 315)

  • 118 total new cases reported Monday
  • 6 total new deaths reported Monday

Lee County: 3,666 (up from 3,627) – 149 deaths (6 new)
Collier County: 3,206 (up from 3,159) – 64 deaths
Charlotte County: 597 (up from 587) – 75 deaths
DeSoto County: 468 (up from 450) – 10 deaths
Glades County: 142 (unchanged) – 1 death
Hendry County: 763 (up from 759) – 22 deaths
