Road crews will soon shut down McGregor Boulevard between Winkler Road and Dean Way. That closure will go from Monday until Thursday evening. While it’s only a few a days, this will definitely affect any commutes in this area; those travelling in that area should leave themselves extra time when heading out. During this span of time, crews will be installing drainage pipes underneath the road. Detour signs are all around the work areas to get drivers around the mess and bring them to College Parkway and Winkler. “Yes, it does affect me big time,” said nearby resident Emily Salilinga. “I have to leave early because my mass starts at 7:30, so I have to go use the other road, U.S. 41, going all the way downtown.” The entire project is expected to be completed by the beginning of 2021.
