2 dead after motorcycle crash in Sarasota County

North Port Police say two people were killed Saturday in a motorcycle crash.

The motorcycle left the road near the intersection of Plantation and Panacea boulevards and struck a tree. Investigators do not yet know what caused the crash.

The first rider, Cody Bunch, 30, died at the scene. This loss greatly affects us here at WINK News because Bunch was the longtime boyfriend of Charlotte County reporter Erika Jackson.

The second rider, Jenny Lenzini, 26, was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Lenzini was a reporter at NBC-2.

North Port police say they may release more information on this crash on Monday.
